The tree of yggdrasil is a norse tradition tree which connects the three worlds (earth, heaven, and hell). the tradition is interesting because it is comparable to religion. Religion is the modern yggdrasil which connects the public understanding of earth, heaven, and hell together. This was the way that the Norse understood the world: connected through a giant spirit tree.
